100% local document processing

Documents you add to Redakt are not uploaded to a server for content analysis or sensitive-information detection. Opening, scanning, reviewing, and redacting the document all take place on your device in supported browsers.

Redakt does not:

• store your documents' contents on its servers,
• share document content with third parties, or
• use document content to train AI models.

When processing is complete, the generated document is downloaded directly to your device.

Internet connection

The application files and models Redakt needs may be downloaded over the internet on first use. Your document content, however, is not sent to Redakt's servers for analysis.

“The app connecting to the internet” and “the document being transferred over the internet” are separate processes.

Website usage data

Limited technical information may be processed to secure the website, monitor performance, and diagnose technical issues. If analytics, cookies, or similar technologies are used, information about them will be disclosed separately.

Your responsibility

Redakt helps detect sensitive information in documents. You are responsible for reviewing your document before sharing it and ensuring that the sharing is lawful.
